Ingredients

Pure and balanced

  • Raw rice, stone-ground
  • Fresh coconut extract
  • Water & a pinch of salt

Carefully balanced so every appam turns out soft in the middle and beautifully lacy at the rim.

How to use

Lacy appams at home

  1. Stir the batter gently to an even, pourable consistency.
  2. Heat an appam chatti (or non-stick kadai) on medium.
  3. Pour a ladle, swirl once to spread the edges thin, then cover.
  4. Cook 2–3 minutes until edges are crisp and centre is set. Serve with stew or coconut milk.
